DAY 1

CAPE TOWN - MONTAGU

Depart Cape Town for Aquila Game Reserve (under 2 hrs drive), arriving there in time for breakfast. After breakfast, the game drive commences. Upon returning to the lodge, there is some free time (relax at the pool, bar or in the lounge) where after lunch is served. After lunch there is time to visit the cheetah enclosure before we leave for Montagu. At Montagu we check into our accommodation. Evening at leisure. (Approx 275km).

DAY 2

MONTAGU - CAPE TOWN

Today it’s all about wine tasting. We visit 3 vineyards along the way, and also stop at a wine coop for a wide selection of wines at cellar prices. Once on the N2 we head back to Cape Town, passing the rolling wheat fields. Lunch is at Dassiesfontein. Next stop is the top of Sir Lowry’s Pass for a view over False Bay before arriving back in Cape Town late afternoon. (Approx 280km).

ALTERNATE DAY 2

Today it’s all about wine tasting and scenic drives. We visit 2 vineyards along the way; stop at the local wine coop for a wide selection of wines at cellar prices. We cross over the N2 and carry on south towards the Cape Agulhas (southern most tip of Africa). We then start making our way back to Cape Town following the east coast most of the way. We stop at Hermanus for a quick snack while looking for some whales (June – November), and then carry on through the small villages and holiday resorts along the False Bay coastline before arriving back in Cape Town in the late afternoon. (Approx 425km).

Included: Game drive, accommodation and 2/3 wine tastings.
Excluded: Dinner, lunch and personal expenses.
