The Southern Right Whale Full Day Tour takes you along the False Bay coastline, driving along one of the best coastal and scenic routes in the country – Clarence Drive, visiting a botanical garden and walking up to the waterfall, visiting the African Penguin Colony and passing through many seaside holiday resort towns and villages before arriving in Hermanus – the Southern Right Whale capital of South Africa. Once here there is an abundance of walks to choose from that meander next to the ocean while looking for the gentle giants of the ocean lying in the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean or you can browse through the many art gallery’s in the town center. After a relaxed lunch while keeping an eye out for a whale or two we leave Hermanus for some of the southern-most vineyards of the country for a wine tasting before passing through the heart of apple country. Here we visit a truly South African farm stall named after the mountain pass it is situated on, for some local treats. Once at the top of Sir Lowry’s Pass, we stop for a view over False Bay before heading back to Cape Town.
If on motor bike tour, then wine tasting excluded from the tour.
